Kitchen renovations tend to start at a cost of $25K. There are many factors that contribute to the cost of a kitchens and client chooses most of these factors.

A kitchen renovation, done properly, takes about 4 weeks. Structural works, walls, flooring, windows and painting all add further time to a renovation.

Moving out depends greatly on the size of the renovation. A simple replacement of a kitchen or bathroom doesn’t require moving out, but larger scale, multi-room renovations move along quicker and more efficiently if the property is uninhabited.

Select are professional, licensed builders with a focus on multi-room renovations. We cover any existing room inside the home.

This can be tricky. Select Designers are trained in all manner of kitchen and bathroom styles. It’s our pleasure to guide you through the best styling options to compliment your home.

For a simple replacement of your kitchen, No. If you plan to move or remove or build walls, most likely Yes.

Select Kitchens are made from timbers only from sustainable forests and use all Australian made suppliers of timber. The use of only highly moisture resistance materials also prevents you from having to redo the kitchen prematurely.

Tiled floors can be noisier than timber and certainly vinyl flooring. If noise is a major concern then please talk to your kitchen designer who will be able to walk you through the options. 

Each type of flooring must be handled differently. A fixed timber floor should be laid before a kitchen. A floating floor needs to be installed mid-way through the kitchen installation. Tiles and vinyl flooring are usually laid after kitchens installation. It’s our job to assisting you in knowing the best way to tackle all aspects of the renovation.

When signing a renovation contract with Select, we provide you with a “1, 2, 3” document that guides you through the preparation required leading up to the commencement of works. Each renovation is tailored uniquely to you and the preparation suitable for your renovation.

We prefer to manage the whole process. We find that it tends to flow better when using our tradesman, that we have worked with for many years. We don’t mind if you want to manage the project or provide trades people of your own. It just moves the responsibility of progress on your shoulders.

We usually remove the old kitchen and dispose of the rubbish. Some client prefer to do this as a cost saving measure. It’s up to you.

Yes, we have 2 showrooms situated in Ashwood and Mordialloc

Yes, we offer a free estimation of your project in your home. If you decide that you wish to move to the next step and have the project drawn up and costed, for presentation, we ask for a nominal fee of $375 per room. If you proceed with the renovation, we gladly refund the fee.

We do offer some appliances in brands that are only available through the kitchen industry. Belling, IAG, Turner and Hasting and more.

Finance can be arranged to help you cover the costs

We will match written quotes for kitchens that are of same quality and using the same products.

All of our cabinetry is custom made by us in our factory.

Upon completion of your kitchen or bathroom project, we bring you a care package with guides and instructions on how to best maintain your kitchen or bathroom.
