Beautiful Powder Room

Designing

These repeat clients in Malvern had a need to update their Powder Room. A room from twenty years ago was ready for 2014 reset renovation.

Having a difficult layout presented a bit of a challenge. The original Vanity was on the same side as the door and the existing toilet suite had been cut into the bottom of the window frame. So we went about reversing the layout, including relocating the plumbing from one side of the room to the other.

Shaping

Having a wall to wall and bench to ceiling mirror made the room feel twice the size. Drawers from left to right with no handles gives the room length. The drawers open and close with a simple push. This has also given the clients a powder room with lots of storage space. The horizontal timber slated shutters lift the elegance of the room and give the guests instant privacy when desired.

Framing

Select Kitchens and Bathrooms provided a Frosty Carina surround to the wall mirror with a bevel edge leading into the mirror. The mirror in turn has a corresponding bevel of the same dimensions, highlighting reflection as our concept here.

Selecting

The AXA H10 500 Above Counter Basin has simply gorgeous feminine contours softens the environment of the power room. It’s important to choose a tap that extends well over the bowl, The Dorf Pearl Basin Mixer is beautiful and sophisticated, making hand washing easier and less mess left behind. The plumbing required for this basin is cleverly tucked away behind the drawers below it.

Warming

The Wide plank Walnut Engineered flooring gives this powder room all the warms it needs. See it run under the custom made wall hung vanity unit increases the feeling of space. A Soft close toilet Seat and Toilet Lid quieten the acoustics and again add to the softness of the room. All of these concepts detailed above culminate together for the perfect Powder room.

Comparing

So here is a before and after view to see how great the transformation can be.
