Scandinavian Dream

Sometimes a kitchen needs a lift. Although the existing kitchen here was not very old, the new owner of the property wanted to reflect her own personal style. The hardware in the existing kitchen was less than satisfactory, so we made sure this new Kitchen was filled with Blum Intivo Drawer systems, carrying the famous Blum lifetime guaranty.

It was finally settled on a Scandi-Industrial design that facilitated the Wow Factor that the homeowner desired for the space. natural Oak Cabinets and floating bench feature were prominent to compliment the existing Solid Timber Floors. White and Light Oak cabinets are a cornerstone of the Scandinavian design. The Industrial aspect came through a Bronzed Mirror surrounding the overhead cabinets and down the sink run, giving it length. Horizontal Grain on the Over Heads Cabinets continues to gain popularity in kitchen design and if you look closely, you will see that the cooktop surface below does NOT line up with the overhead cabinets above. There is a secret to this ability to keep the overhead cabinet doors all the same size and centred on the wall, along with Drawers that are the same size and centred along the base cabinets run. It requires our unique 3-Door Range Hood cabinet, but I can’t say too much.

Overall this beautiful New Kitchen is far lighter and brighter but somehow is warmer than before.
LED lights were added under the New Bulkheads to the left and right of the Over Head cabinets, bringing the corners of the bench to life.

Casing the Horizontal Grain doors on the back of the Breakfast Bar with Caesarstone framed it nicely and reflected the design from the Cook Top Run.
Functional doors on the back of the Island added some much-needed meals area storage.
